For this project, our technicians installed a new commercial door and frame and equipped the opening with new panic hardware and trim for Dexter Axle in Atlanta, GA. A new door closer was also installed to provide controlled closing and help the door return to the secured position after use.
At the bottom of the opening, the project included a new threshold and door sweep. These components complete the installation around the base of the door and help create a properly finished commercial opening.
Project Details
For this project, our technicians installed a new commercial door and frame and equipped the opening with new panic hardware and trim. A new door closer was also installed to provide controlled closing and help the door return to the secured position after use.
At the bottom of the opening, the project included a new threshold and door sweep. These components complete the installation around the base of the door and help create a properly finished commercial opening.
We Installed:
- New commercial door & frame
- New panic bar and hardware trim
- New door closer
- New threshold and door sweep
With several new components being installed on the same opening, proper fit and alignment were important throughout the project. The frame provides the foundation for the door, while the panic hardware, trim, and closer must be positioned correctly to work together during everyday operation.
The threshold and sweep completed the lower portion of the opening. Once all components were installed, the door and hardware could be adjusted as a complete system rather than trying to compensate for a mixture of older and newer components.
A Complete Commercial Door Upgrade
The finished project provided Dexter Axle with a completely updated commercial door opening, from the new frame and door to the exit hardware and components at the threshold. The result is a more complete solution designed for the demands of a commercial facility.
