New Commercial Door & Frame Installation
Door Resources recently completed a commercial door and frame installation project at Mid Guard Self Storage in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, improving both the security and functionality of one of their storage building access points.

Project Details
On this project, our technician Jessy Hernandez installed a new commercial-grade hollow metal door and matching frame within the existing masonry opening. Proper frame installation is critical in a brick or block structure. The frame must be square, plumb, and securely anchored to ensure long-term performance and code compliance. Once the new frame was set and anchored, the door was properly hung and aligned for smooth operation.
The new installation includes:
- A commercial-grade steel door
- Heavy-duty hinges
- Surface-mounted door closer
- Exit device (panic hardware) for safe egress
- Vision lite with wire-reinforced safety glass
- Reinforced kick plate for durability
Because this door serves as a secure access point within a storage facility, reliability and durability were key priorities. The new door and frame provides improved structural integrity compared to older or damaged assemblies, while maintaining clean aesthetics that complement the building’s brick exterior.
From the interior side, the exit device ensures safe and easy egress, meeting life-safety standards. The reinforced lower door area adds protection against cart traffic and everyday wear, which is common in storage environments.
