We recently completed a custom panic bar installation for Veritiv where the customer needed a secure and properly functioning exit solution installed on a security cage gate. Due to the unique construction of the gate, this project required custom fabrication and careful hardware positioning to ensure reliable operation.

Project Details
On this project, our team installed a Von Duprin 22 panic bar and closer on a security cage gate at Veritiv in Norcross, Georgia. Because the gate thickness was thinner than a standard commercial door, additional modifications and spacing adjustments were necessary to ensure proper hardware operation and long-term durability.
The installation also required a custom plate to be fabricated and installed to properly secure the panic hardware while accounting for the gate’s thickness and security requirements.
